Bike electrification - what it is and how does it work?
Electrifying a bike is a process of modifying a regular bicycle into an electric bicycle or shortly, e-bike. Essentially electrification comes down to a adding to regular bicycle 3 essential elements – DC motor, battery, and Control Unit or simply controller.
DC Motor
DC motor is built-in into either the front or back wheel. The control unit is a relatively small, rectangular-shaped aluminum boxes that connect the battery and motor together and helps them communicate and adjust velocity to the input you give (pedaling or pushing the acceleration button). Due to its small dimension control unit is placed depending on the space available after assembling a battery.
All these elements should be connected with the wires, and after adding a display panel on the steering wheel and configuration process the electrification is done, a new e-bike is being born and ready to serve.
